In-form AS Roma maintained the pressure on Serie A leaders Inter Milan with a confident 2-0 win at Napoli on Sunday.
Simone Perrotta’s early finish and Francesco Totti’s second-half penalty put second-placed Roma, who dumped Real Madrid out of the Champions League in midweek to progress to the quarter-finals, six points behind Inter.
The Nerazurri beat Reggina 2-0 on Saturday having suffered their first defeat of the league campaign at Napoli last weekend.
Leaders Inter Milan celebrated their centenary and warmed up for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic converted a disputed penalty and Nicolas Burdisso powered in a header in the first half.
Juventus cemented third spot thanks to Zdenek Grygera’s cracker and David Trezeguet’s 16th of the league season to win 2-0 at Genoa.
AC Milan put Tuesday’s Champions League defeat by Arsenal behind them with a 3-1 win at Empoli and they are now just a point behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, who lost 1-0 at Siena.
